Presentation transcript:

FREEDOM GARDEN PRODUCTS GREEN ROOF PANELS FEATURES AND BENEFITS

FEATURES  Fully integrated panel including; growth media, waterproof barrier, and drip irrigation. Everything needed for the green roof install.  Panel is 42 inch x 42 inch x 2 inches deep.  Patented growth media supplies oxygen to the plant roots with NO drainage in fully watered condition  Can be pre-grown and installed with NO cranes or special equipment. Pre-grown panels can be lifted, turned vertical and brought up to the roof via a service elevator.  Manufactured with recycled materials diverting these materials from landfills.  Patented growth media locks plants into panels through root migration into the continuous medium providing wind resistance.

BENEFITS  Fully planted and watered panel weight of less than 10 pounds per square foot allows for the installation of the system on existing buildings without extensive roof modifications. Allows for LEED points on existing building through addition of green roof.  Allows for LEED points with all green roof advantages; Storm water capture in panels, reduced HVAC load on building through cooling of green roof, reduction in heat island effect in cities; CO2 absorption, wildlife habitat, etc.  Expands plant selection from traditional roof garden plants (sedums, alpines) to a much larger plant selection.  Contributes to LEED certification from; innovation, efficient irrigation, storm water capture, recycled content
