I will research the Mariana Trench. The earth’s deepest point in the ocean and also the darkest. It has unusual yet intriguing creatures like the goblin shark. A odd creature living in the Mariana Trench with a long, pointy snout and sharp teeth with a strong jaw.

I will research the deepest point in the Mariana Trench. The deepest point is called the Challenger Deep which is named after a British survey ship called the Challenger II. The Challenger II pinpointed the deep waters off the Mariana Islands which earned its name, the Challenger Deep.

The climate of the Mariana Trench is degrees Fahrenheit and 1-4 degrees Celsius. The temperature usually decreases more the further you go into deeper waters.

No, Canada does not have a Mariana Trench because the one and only is located in the Pacific Ocean near Japan, and east of the Mariana Islands. The Mariana Trench is the deepest area in the oceans therefore it is also very dark too.

The conditions that make it difficult to survive in the Mariana Trench is the number of water pressure there is. The water pressure on the floor of the trench is approximately 703 kilograms per square meter. If humans were to go down there they will be crushed before they can make it unless they are in a well built submarine.

The obstacles to exploring the Mariana Trench is the fact that the trench is the deepest part of all the oceans therefore it is too deep for humans to explore. The trench measures approximately km whereas the deepest point, known as the Challenger Deep, measures approximately km. Humans can go as far as approximately 475 feet deep using proper equipment otherwise they will need submarines to investigate places such as the Mariana Trench.

It is important to investigate the Mariana Trench because you could find new organisms such as things that don’t live in the other oceans. Amazing and mysterious creatures live in the Mariana Trench such as the angler fish. A fish with sharp, translucent teeth and a dorsal spine at the tops of its head.

One of the past exploration in this environment is a Japanese deep sea probe known as Kaiko. The probe was sent in March, 1995, to get more information on the Mariana Trench. Kaiko was the second out of four vessels to reach the bottom of the Challenger Deep. On March 24, 1995, the probe reached a maximum depth of 10,911.4 meters. Unfortunately the Kaiko was lost at sea after the typhoon in 2003.

Technology to explore this region are submarines that can fit passengers or just submarines that can handle extreme pressure and being in the dark. They have to be able to get information. Ps: I did this slide when I was tired so most of it is nonsense or repeating ( I know it’s a short text )

(This technically doesn’t count but a guy that’s Canadian built it too so…) “Canada” has built a submarine called the Deepsea Challenger (which is actually built in Sydney, Australia). Canadian Director James Cameron built a submarine with the help of the company Acheron Project Pty Ltd. The submarine has made it there and back in approximately 3 hours but was cut short when there was a malfunctioning so that he had to come up earlier than expected. National Geographic:-James Cameron Voyage To The Bottom Of The Earth

People can explore this region responsibly if they travel in a well built and strong submarines that can handle high pressure and will keep the passengers inside safe and dry.
