Story #1 Wuhan China Da Qin dreams about her and her sister flying on a beautiful bird. It is a crane. Da Qin and Xiao Qin fly threw the night as the crane takes them home.

Story #2 A sad, sad day Da Qin is 4 years old in this story and she and her sister are one year apart. Since only one child could go to preschool, the parents thought it would be best if Xiao Qin went. Da Qin goes with her mother to work. One day, there is no school and Da Qin’s mother is very sad.

Story #3 The four pests Da Qin is now in elementary and she is learning about the four pests. One is the rat. Da Qin’s homework is to cut off four rat tails and bring them into class. Da Qin rushes home to tell Xiao Qin and they put their heads together to think of a plan of attack.

Story #4 Don’t waste your food Da Qin and Xiao Qin are eating their dinner and went out to play before finishing their rice. Their mother makes them finish as she tells them a story of how people had no food. Her parents have a rice farm.

Story #5 March 5 th is Lei Feng day Lei Feng was a orphan and raised by the army. He loved to help out the army. That week, Da Qin and Xiao Qin tried to be just like Lei Feng. They were a great help to their town. It all went good until they accidently hurt little baby chicks.

Story#6 The story of Nian the monster Nian the monster was very dangerous. It ate lots of people and animals. The gods saw and locked Nian in the mountains. Once a year, Nian would manage to escape the mountains and find it’s prey. This tine was new years eve. They attacked him with the things that scared him. He died of hunger and was never seen again.

Story#7 My new year feast Da Qin is celebrating new years eve with a feast. She helped her Mama to cook. They replace old things with new ones like chop sticks. They all go over to Da Qin’s mother’s house for two whole weeks. The kids get envelopes filled with money.

Story#8 Little white duck Da Qin is with her dad to go with her dad to see her grandmother. She meets her cousins for the first time. She meets her grandmother who is not nice.
