The Veridian Group, Inc.3 Young Novice Drivers Have: n Excellent Reflexes n Good hand-eye coordination n Rapid perception-reaction time n Ability to divide and share attention n Wide range of body strength and motion n Excellent peripheral and night vision, contrast sensitivity

The Veridian Group, Inc.4 These are essentially the same factors that are important for safe driving, but compromised in the elderly and known to contribute to their elevated crash rate
