TransitChek ® Commuter Benefit Program Using the TransitChek ® Card

The TransitChek ® Card, a prepaid Visa ® card, is an anonymous card which allows you to purchase MetroCard ®, transit tickets and passes using tax-free dollars wherever Visa debit cards are accepted. TransitChek Cards are available in a wide variety of denominations up to the current IRS monthly limit of $230, providing enhanced flexibility for employees. The initial value is embossed on the Card. You can use the Card to purchase MetroCard ®, transit tickets and passes wherever Visa debit cards are accepted. About the TransitChek ® Card The TransitChek® Prepaid Visa® Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. The Bancorp Bank; Member FDIC.

Additional dollars can be added to the Card up to three times per Card if your monthly commuting costs exceed the monthly pretax limit. –Before you are allowed to add funds you must register the Card. You will need to provide some personal information. The TransitChek Card, a prepaid Visa ® card can hold a maximum value of $500. To add value go to the TransitChek Card website at: or by calling CHEK (2435). Make sure you have enough funds on your Card before making your transit purchase. Multiple TransitChek Cards cannot be used in one transaction. But funds can be combined onto one Card. Purchasing a New MetroCard ® with the TransitChek ® Card Press “Touch the screen” to begin, and simply follow the instructions When asked what you would like to do, press “get a new MetroCard” When asked for your form of payment, press “credit card” Enter your zip code Your request will then be processed Take your MetroCard Get a receipt of the transaction to assist with any customer service issues that may arise Keep your TransitChek ® Card, a prepaid Visa ® card, even though there may be no value remaining until the MetroCard expires The TransitChek® Prepaid Visa® Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Keeping Track of Your Commuter Benefit Purchase The initial value of the TransitChek ® Card, prepaid Visa ® card, is embossed on the front of each Card. Once you begin making transit purchases, you can keep track of your Card balance either by visiting the TransitChek website or by calling the number on the back of your Card: –Website: –Phone: CHEK (2435) The TransitChek® Prepaid Visa® Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Manage Funds On Your TransitChek ® Card You can combine funds from two TransitChek Cards and add funds from a personal debit or credit card. –The Card must be registered before funds can be added or combined. Some personal information will be required. Transfer balances from one TransitChek Card to another TransitChek Card –If you have money left on your Card, you can easily transfer the balance from one TransitChek Card to another TransitChek Card. You can make up to three transfers onto one Card. –To make a transfer, log on to the TransitChek Card website, or call the toll-free number. –When using the website, choose the “Transfers” tab and follow instructions. Add Value From A Personal Debit or Credit Card –If the amount of your commute is greater than your tax-fee deduction, you can add value from a personal debit or credit card to your TransitChek Card only if your card is registered –To add value, log on to the TransitChek Card website at –When using the website, choose the “Add Value” tab and follow instructions The TransitChek® Prepaid Visa® Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A.
