Evidence that whales were once land mammals 1)Whales today still need to breathe air 2) Whales today still have a pelvic bone 3) Whales today have similar bones to four legged animals 4) The inner ear of whales evolved much more quickly than expected, allowing the animals to become fully aquatic early in their evolution.
