Biocite Product Justification

Biocite Justification Widespread use of antibiotics is a major contributing factor to antibiotic-resistant bacteria in our ecosystem Trend to use “natural” products Biocite is made entirely from FDA GRAS constituents Biocite is performing well in laboratory and field trials Biocite is very cost-effective

A safe alternative ß-(1-3/1-6)-glucan component enhances the non- specific defence system in a variety of animals The bio-flavonoids are effective against a number of opportunistic pathogens ß-glucan and alginates act as a powerful immunostimulants by activating the white blood cells antibiotics are very specific in their mode of action

A safe alternative 2 Immunostimulants like ß-glucans and alginates have a broad spectrum, particularly under stress conditions against a wide range of disease causing micro-organisms They are very potent stimulator of the immune system, activating macrophages, neutrophils and other white blood cells, particularly at times when the immune system is impaired due to a variety of reasons In Biocite they are combined with a potent broad spectrum anti-infective agent

Biocite constituents Biocite contains a rich source of ß-(1-3/1-6)-glucan, which has been consistently shown in multitudes of studies as a stimulator of the immune system. It has the ability to activate macrophages, neutrophils and other white blood cells that have the ß-glucan receptor on their surface Only ß-(1-3/1-6)-glucan interacts with the CR3 protein on macrophages to trigger the immune system

Biocite constituents 2 Contains Citrox - cost-effective broad-range alternative to antibiotics Contains  -humulones and iso-humulones from beer hops, which also act as a bactericide Contains alginates which act as immune modulators

Administration of Biocite Optimum results are obtained with 2 kg/ton of feed Administrated either continuously or up to 4 weeks with, followed by 3 weeks without, etc.. Prior to vaccination, transportation or any condition that favours an onset of disease To stimulate the immune system

Aquaculture usage Finfish are very susceptible to a variety of diseases because pathogens can thrive and proliferate rapidly in water Disease spread is very difficult to control Biocite-Aqua administered in the feed increases the resistance to infectious organisms and controls disease Particularly effective in intensive fish farms

Young fish and shrimps The non-specific defence mechanisms of young fish and shrimp can be enhanced significantly by immersing them in “solutions” containing Biocite- Aqua This treatment is commonly applied to improve health and reduce mortality

Biocite General Feed preservatives and antibiotics and medication can cause temporary immunosuppression with reduced performance Biocite not only contains GRAS broad spectrum effective anti-infectious agents, but also enhances the immune response, thus combating disease outbreaks in two synergistic ways.
