Shavu’ot and the Messianic Era On the festival of Shavu' ot we rejoice both spiritually and physically simultaneously because it is the time of the giving of our Torah, in that the Holy One, blessed be He, gave us His Torah of truth which gives rest to the soul, and He gave us eternal life and length of days, both physically for this world and spiritually for the world to come. He will bring a fresh revelation of God to the world, transcending the revelation at Sinai, and the Torah will go forth from Zion as it once did from Sinai..

The Day of Atonement Leviticus 23:28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.

The Feast of Tabernacles Leviticus 23: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.

Sukkot and the Messianic Era Chasidic teaching also connects the festival of Sukkot with the coming kingdom of Messiah on earth. Rabbi Meisels taught that each of the festivals celebrates a historical event and a future element of the final redemption. He explained that Sukkot celebrates both the past and the future. It celebrates the historic exodus from Egypt when Israel dwelt in booths, and it celebrates the future Messianic Era:

The fall festivals of the Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Shemini Atzeret all point toward His second coming. They are a "shadow of what is to come" (Colossians 2: 17).
