Which Beef Jerky Tastes the Best? Matador, Great Value or Jack Links ?

Purpose The reason we are doing this project is to see what brand of beef jerky tastes the best to third graders. We think Matador will win because it is less chewy and salty than other brands. Hypothesis

The materials One 12oz bag of Matador Beef Jerky One 12oz bag of Jack Links Beef Jerky. One 12oz bag of Great Value Beef Jerky. Three pieces of white paper Thirteen small square pieces of paper with the letters A, B and C on each one.

The Procedures First we bought Great Value, Jack Links and Matador beef jerky. Then we brought it school and left it at school until the taste test. Next we set out 3 papers labeled A,B and C. We labeled the bags of jerky as follows…Matador A, Jack Links B and Great Value C. Then we put 13 bite size pieces of Matador on the paper marked A.

Procedures Cont. Then we put 13 small bite size pieces of Jack Links on paper B. Then we put 13 small bite size pieces of Great Value on paper C. Fourth the people voted which jerky tasted the best. Last we counted all the votes and created a graph of the results.

Conclusion Our experiment turned out the way it did because Matador is less chewy and more saltier than Jack Links and Great Value. If we were to do this experiment again we would do original beef jerky, bacon jerky and barbeque beef jerky.
