Presentation transcript:

HEL pre-design Diego Perini

Superconducting solenoid Operation temperature: 4.2 K, current:about 250A, magnetic field: 5 Tesla Cooled by liquid helium Three vessels: for liquid helium, thermal screen and vacuum The helium vessel is supported by the permaglass bars in vertical and horizontal directions and in axial direction with plastic piece The main coils and the correction coils are inside the helium vessel

Coils The main coils and the correction coils The power connection between the main coils

Aegis coils

Thermal screen The circulation of the helium gas pipes

Vessels’s supports Fix point for axial direction Suspension forvertical and horizontal directions

Power and helium supply The current leads The connectors Supply for liquid and gas helium

Toroid section The gun side vacuum chamber and the toroid coils The collector side vacuum chamber and the toroid coils (section)

Support frame The support frame of the hollow electron lens. The rail and positioning system
