Ground Rules Focus What is inspiring and worth telling? Which mechanisms helps to promote effective SSC & CD? What can be done to improve practice? Encouraged Stay focused and to the point Allowing time for others to come in Provide input by using the cards To avoid Showcasing details of stories (there is not enough time) Promoting institutions Discourse on general issues and problems Please, stay focused, concise and allow time for others Engagement – ME Implementation – MI Learning – ML Receiving Partners – RP Providing Partners – PP Facilitating Partners – FP

1) Mechanisms for engagement & identification (ME) What are promising mechanisms (1) to identify entry points for SSC? (2) to engage in a trustful and equal partnership? (3) to safeguard genuine ownership? Please, stay focused, concise and allow time for others! For example: Foster conducive rules of engagement that put a premium on transparency, trust and the quality of the partnership. Provide SSC in ways that broaden genuine choice by receiving partners. Encourage pooling SSC/TC that facilitate access to suitable services, including through triangular arrangements. … ME MI ML RP PP FP

2) Mechanisms for implementation (MI) For example: Monitor SSC and TC provided on country level, and compare the costs /benefits, for instance through independent monitoring arrangements. Sustain a shift from ‘traditional” modalities (eg. Training) to tailored, contextual approaches facilitating change Make the SSC & TC market more transparent to appreciate options, including across regions … What are promising mechanisms (1) to choose/apply “good fit” approaches? (2) to adapt to changing needs? (3) to monitor relevance, quality & impact? Please, stay focused, concise and allow time for others! ME MI ML RP PP FP

3) Mechanisms for learning and upscaling (ML) For example: Document evidence of cases where SSC has worked well and share widely through relevant networks. Draw lessons from success and failure and adjust the approaches accordingly and for "good fit" in a given context. Disseminate and make evidence, case stories, references, etc. available through networks and learning platforms … What are promising mechanisms (1) to distil lessons and strengthen evidence? (2) to continuously improve SSC? (3) to upscale promising practice? Please, stay focused, concise and allow time for others! ME MI ML RP PP FP

Options for SSC partners What are promising options for (1) receiving partners (RP) (2) providing partners (PP), and (3) facilitating partners (FP) to promote effective SSC and CD? Please, stay focused, concise and allow time for others! ME MI ML RP PP FP  Key message for Bogota Statement
