Definition Fellowship recipients are individuals who receive fellowship income that is generally not subject to tax withholding. Non resident aliens would be subject to tax withholding. Fellowship recipients would be responsible for making estimated federal and state tax payments.

Required fields on the position that carry over to organizational assignment, infotype 0001.

Required field information for fellowship recipient (stipend). Pay grade type = SG even if employee is not a graduate student. Pay grade – Ensures that wage type on infotype 9027 (Base Pay & Labor Distribution) is 3015 (Fellowship).
