Calculating Pell LEU Identify EFC and determine annual amount Pell Disbursement / Scheduled award = Annual percentage 600% minus student’s percentage = Pell amount available Pell not necessarily split evenly

Example For , Johnny has a 0 efc. He is only attending your school and he is a full time student for both semesters. He is at 525% of his Pell LEU. How much Pell should your school award Johnny?

Answer 600% – 525% = 75% 5645 x 75% = Fall semester Johnny receives $2, Spring semester Johnny receives $1, If your school rounded the Fall semester to $2,823, you will need to reduce your spring to $1,410 to stay under the 600%
