Why Free Community College Need for college degree is increasing. Priority to push young people to graduate college. ▫2010 America slipped to 12 th place.

What’s Preventing it? Governments investment in higher education has been reduced Tuition in and increased by 38.5%

Actions to be Taken Rating system ▫Will it work? Reinvest money into education system

Actions Being Taken “In a sense, it’s not a new idea, but the devil is in the details and its execution” –Noah Brown Tennessee Governor, Bill Haslam has a plan. ▫“This is the best way to boost participation in higher education in a generation.”

Actions Being Taken “College may not be for everyone, but by providing free tuition makes it available to more people.” Recruiting the states’ adult to finish Reinvest money from state lottery into the education system.

Pros Gives the opportunity to more people who want to go. Raise our number of young people with a college degree. Meet the demand in the workforce.

Cons Where is the money coming from? ▫Where are we pulling money from? Colleges may have to close down.

What Can We Do? Reinvest money into the education system.
