Numbers of Students Who Had More Than, Less than, or One Prey Animal in Their Pellet By Joseph Riccardi

Owl Pellet Question Answers 1.Scientists use owl pellets to learn more about barn owls and their habitat to see what they eat and how they eat it. Scientists can find out which habitat they were in when they ate it. 2.One vole was indicted in my pellet. 3.The total of my class is 63 and everyone is There would be more Barn Owls because what the Barn Owls eat is limited and the prey would be less for the Barn Owls to eat them. Almost like the specie of owls die out. 5.The Barn Owl would probably eat, according to my data, 400 prey animals. 6.The vole was the most popular species in our data for our class and grade. I can infer that the Barn Owls like the vole species because they are easier to catch than any other species. 7.Owls don't eat chickens - that's not in their diet. It's not in the food web.

The Number of Students that Had more than one Prey Animal in Their Pellet 16

Number of People who Had one Prey animal in their Pellet 1

Number of Students That had Less than One Prey animal in their Pellet 0

My Analysis My hypothesis was that there were going to be a lot more students with more than one prey animal because there wouldn’t be a boneyard. Students will donate their extra bones that they had because their owl eats a lot more than some barn owls, also known as raptors.
