MAZZONI ROSSO DI TOSCANA 2010 A Super Tuscan blend of two of the world’s greatest grape varieties (Sangiovese - Merlot) created by two distinguished winemaking families. The partnership between Italy’s Franceschi family and the Terlato family has flourished for more than 35 years when the Terlato’s began importing their world-class Brunellos to the United States. MAZZONI is made from hand-harvested Sangiovese (72%) and Merlot (28%), and each family brings its expertise in the given variety. It is crafted at a state-of-the-art winery in the prestigious Montalcino zone, and is the perfect confluence of old and new world techniques guided by the desire to create world class wine today, and for future generations. Winemaker Alessandro Bindocci represents the fifth generation to craft wines in this famous region. Variety 72% Sangiovese 28% Merlot – Carefully selected and harvested by hand Vineyards Southern exposed vineyards located in the southwest portion of Brunello region. All vineyards range between 10 to 12 years in age and are located at various elevations: Sangiovese between 150 and 450 meters above sea level, and Merlot at 250 meters. Vinification 10 days submerged cap fermentation at controlled temperatures of 78-82˚ F. Aging 12 months in French oak; 50% in large barrels and 50% in second vintage barriques Alcohol 13.5%

Variety: 100% Barbera Vineyards: Southern exposed single vineyard, 10 years in age located at 350 meters above sea level. The soil is rich in clay. The vineyard follows the maximum slope and the density is 4500 vines/hectare, Guyot-trained. Vinification: 15 days of maceration at controlled temperature on horizontal tanks, with daily remontage (pump over) and full contact between the skins and the fermenting must. Once the alcoholic fermentation is over, the wine is kept at optimal condition in order to allow a fast start for the malolactic fermentation. This helps to preserve the freshness of the aromas and the structure of the wine. The wine is unoaked. Taste: Intense ruby red in color, it boast explosive flavors of ripe black fruit, mushroom and forest floor. On the palate it is full bodied and long lasting, also thanks to its good and balanced acidity, an essential characteristic to the Barbera. MAZZONI PIEMONTE BARBERA 2009 Mazzoni Piemonte Barbera is an exciting wine produced by two distinguished winemaking families – Franceschi from Italy and the Terlato family from the United States. Their partnership has flourished for more than 35 years with each family contributing their expertise during the production of this wine. 100% Barbera varietal from the Piemonte region in the DOC zone. This wine is grown and made in Piemonte and bottled in Montalcino (Il Poggione estate) Live like an Italian every day with Mazzoni!
