1 Peter 1:21 “Through him [Jesus] you believe in God, who raised him from death and gave him glory; and so your faith and hope are fixed on God”

Catechism What does the Ascension mean? … sends his spirit and gives us hope of one day reaching the place he has prepared for us.

Catechism contd. Interior penance … …is nourished by hope in divine mercy.

Catechism contd. What is Hope? …virtue which we desire and await from God eternal life as our happiness.

Catechism contd. Hope trustingly awaits the blessed vision of God and his help, while avoiding despair and presumption.

Catechism finished (eventually)! Why is the Church One? …there is one common hope.
