Naval Special Warfare Direction Naval Special Warfare needs to be prepared to counter irregular threats by developing a 3D warrior (Defense, Diplomacy, Development) who better understands “threats emerging from complex convergence of crime, migration, and extremism, globally, and less from traditional nation-state adversaries.” NSW focus: –Grow the Force to adapt to today’s missions –Recapitalize and advance maritime mobility & technology –Support our families Important Enablers: –Continue to build strong local, community relationships –Enhance local infrastructure –Improve cultural capabilities –Increase transparent technology sharing with civilian firms –Build our C4I capabilities to fit today’s mission –Improve Information Technology reach-back architecture
