Iowa’s Water and Land Legacy How to double REAP investments and much more on Nov. 2, 2010

Iowa: beautiful land Our natural heritage is worth preserving and protecting.

Iowa’s needs We need clean, healthy water. We must protect our productive soils. We need more connections to nature.

Why a Trust Fund? The Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund provides a permanent, reliable and accountable method for protecting vital natural resources.

Funding? Voting to create the trust fund does not raise taxes.  Iowa will invest future sales tax in the trust fund.

Investments $150 million annually dedicated to natural resources

REAP doubles 13% of new revenue; additional $20 million annually

Agreement Voters support these conservation goals and the legislature has approved the trust fund twice.

Iowa’s legacy We need the trust fund to preserve our quality of life and strengthen our economy.

For Iowa, forever The trust fund is our legacy for future generations

Join the Coalition! We need your support today to help create a permanent trust fund protecting our natural resources.
