CALLED II THESSALONIANS 2:13-14

WE ARE CALLED TO BE SAVED

John 3:16  16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

II Peter 3:9 9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

II Thessalonians 2:13-14 13But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 9:13 13But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

Acts 2:39 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."

I Corinthians 1:9, 24 9God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

II Peter 1:3  3His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

YOU ARE ALSO CALLED TO BE CHANGED

II Corinthians 5:17 17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Romans 8:28-30  28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

I Corinthians 1:2  2To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:

15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; I Peter 1:15 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;

7For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. I Thessalonians 4:7 7For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

Ephesians 4:1  1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

YOU ARE ALSO CALLED TO BE USED

Mark 3:13-14 13Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. 14He appointed twelve—designating them apostles—that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach

Acts 13:2 2While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."

II Thessalonians 1:11  11With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.

Galatians 5:13  13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.
