Latter Day Types in the Book of Esther

Esther 3:2 “All the king’s servants, who were in the king’s gate, bowed, and did obeisance to Haman; for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did obeisance to him.”

Esther 3:8-9 “There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom, and their laws are different from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws; Therefore, it is not for the king’s profit to tolerate them. If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed.”

Esther 3:13 The Jews “destroyed, killed, caused to perish, both young and old, little children and women, in one day,” and “their property taken for spoil.”

Ezek 39:11 “It shall some to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the travelers on the east of the sea; and it shall stop the noses of the travelers, and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it the Valley of Hamon-gog.”

Esther 4:16 “Fast ye for me….I will go in unto the king, which is not according to the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Esther 5:13 “Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.”

Esther 5:14 “Let a gallows be made 50 cubits high, and tomorrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged on it; then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet.”

Rev 19: “Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God, that ye may eat the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and enslaved, both small and great.”

Esther 7:2 “What is thy petition, Queen Esther? And it shall be granted thee. And what is thy request? And it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.”

Ezek 38:18 “And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel.”

Esther 8:11 “The king granted the Jews who were in every city to gather themselves together, and to defend their lives, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the property of them for spoil.”

Esther 8:15 “Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen, and purple.”

Zech 8:23 “In those days it shall come to pass that 10 men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you for we have heard that God is with you.”

Esther 9:1 “In the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them).”
