^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Keep 100% of your pay check! You are taxed only when you spend - NOT when you earn.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Eliminate the IRS! Since sales taxes are collected by businesses, at the time of purchase, there is no excuse for an agency like the IRS, looking into your personal finances.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Taxes the Black Market When bookies, hookers, drug dealers and others who have traditionally not reported income, spend money, they are taxed on their purchases.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Makes US products more competitive in the USA Foreign products, sold in the USA are taxed at the same level as US made products.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Makes US products more competitive abroad Since US made products are not taxed in the US, they can sell for less in other countries.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Reduces Bureaucracy! 45 states already collect sales tax, so most of the infrastructure is already in place. At the same time, the FairTax eliminates 115,000 IRS agents.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Eliminates “Hidden” Taxes Eliminates the layer upon layer of corporate taxes that are included in the price of all retail goods.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Reduces corporate compliance costs Corporate accounting costs would be drastically reduced, resulting in lower prices, more profits and higher wages... that is, for everyone but corporate accountants and lobbyists, who would no longer be needed.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax “Prebate” progressively protects the poor Every person with a SS Number will receive a monthly “prebate” equal to the tax level for the current cost-of-living, thus negating some or all of the taxes paid by low income earners and the elderly.

^ Progressive The FAIR Tax Leads to Lower Over All Taxes Since people will be reminded how much they are paying in taxes, with every purchase, they will begin demanding lower taxes.
