The Problem: Water Pollution Water pollution is a serious problem in San Mateo County –Harmful to fish, wildlife, and human health –Loss of recreational uses –Loss of biological and aesthetic value

Stormwater Runoff is the Biggest Contributor to Water Pollution Rainwater running off streets, roofs, and parking lots flows into the storm drain system without treatment. Storm drains transport untreated water to local creeks, ponds, lagoons, the bay, and ocean.
