o Racism interferes with how we define someone as a person. o We now have a system that incarcerates African Americans twice as long as whites who are charged with identical crimes. o In some cases, white suspects are literally allowed to get away with murder. o Even in 2014 this continues as Jordan Davis a 17 year old African American was killed by Michael Dunn a white male whom was not even convicted of murder.
