“He has filled the hungry with good things, but has sent the rich away empty” (Luke 1:53)

A message for the hungry He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. (Psalm 107:9) The Maker of heaven and earth upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. (Psalm 146:7) The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. (Proverbs 10:3)

A message for the hungry Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35) Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. (Revelation 7:16)

A message for the hungry Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. (Matthew 5:6) Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. (Luke 6:21)

A message for the hungry I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
