Iquitos is a city in the Peruvian rainforest. It is only reached by air or river By river it is some 4000 kilometres from the Atlantic ocean

Many of the houses are built on the flood plains of the many tributaries of the River Amazon

The houses are built of timber Many are built on stilts

NOW plans are well advanced to provide Three meals a day and stimulation for the little children And to involve their parents (hoping to start at the end of June 2011)
