Judgmental- Of, relating to, or involving judgment. Judgment- The process of forming an opinion or evaluation by discerning and comparing. Judge- To condemn or find fault with as result of judging. John 12:48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him— the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. NKJV

Everything In Life Is Judgmental  Truth is judgmental.  The Bible is judgmental.  Discipline—in whatever realm—is judgmental.  Growth is judgmental.  Friends are judgmental.

Everything In Life Is Judgmental  Fathers and mothers are judgmental.  Goodness makes judgments.  Sinners are always uncomfortable with holy people.  The very presence of a holy person judges others.

Everything In Life Is Judgmental 1 Corinthains 6:2- Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? This passage teaches that Christians should be able to make judgments!

 Why did Adam and Eve hide, if God was not judgmental?  The preaching that God requires, by its nature, is judgmental. 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. NKJV

 Why did Adam and Eve hide, if God was not judgmental?  The preaching that God requires, by its nature, is judgmental.  The final judgment will be judgmental.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. NKJV

 Why did Adam and Eve hide, if God was not judgmental?  The preaching that God requires, by its nature, is judgmental.  The final judgment will be judgmental.  To be different in life is to be judgmental. Titus 2:12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, NKJV

 The cry of religious liberals is that pluralism (many faiths) is the only absolute truth.  God accepts all faiths, many ways, many gods, etc. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.” John 14:6  Whether Jews, Muslims, or Christians; they are all equal and true. (Is it judgmental on their part to say this?)

Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. NKJV

 The cry of religious liberals is that pluralism is the only absolute truth.  Evangelism is confrontational and judgmental.  If the gospel is “good news,” then there must have first been bad news, connected with sin.

Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel (good news-FR) of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” NKJV The good news of the gospel is that salvation is now offered to all men. The bad news is, that if one does not accept the good news, bad news will follow. The bad news is that those who are not saved will be lost—condemned to a devil’s hell for eternity!

 Religious liberals shout, “Be nonjudgmental like Jesus!” John 8:24  Jesus was God, having all authority. Matthew 28:18  Jesus was hated because He was judgmental.

 Perhaps the harshest sermon on record is that in Matthew 23. Snakes Hypocrites Blind guides Fools Self-Righteous False prophets Biblical illiterates Faithless Perverted Wolves in sheep’s clothing

 Jesus in other passages, was judgmental.  To His disciples He said, “O you of little faith.” Matthew 8:26  To Peter he said, “Get behind me Satan.” Matthew 16:23  Overthrowing of the money changers in the temple required judgment on the part of Jesus. Matthew 21:12-13

 Jesus never embraced other faiths.  Christ’s apostles embraced “THE” faith, and were persecuted for this.  Paul did not accept and embrace Judaism after becoming a Christian. Can we? “From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one.” 2 Corinthians 11:24

Romans 10:1-3 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. NKJV

 Truth and error cannot co-exist.  Truth is narrow. “Enter by the narrow gate.” Matthew 7:13  Truth is exclusive. “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:14  Truth is rigid.  Religious liberals try to create a Jesus to suit themselves.

 To claim to be nonjudgmental is to make a judgmental statement.  All who demand Scriptural authority and seek to encourage reasoning about the Bible are called “Bible-thumping, narrow- minded bigots.” Such statements are judgmental.

 The protestors shout down any who would protest them.  Anyone emphasizing the Bible and scriptural authority is called a Pharisee, and anytime is open season of Pharisees.

 Jesus did not forbid judging, but cautioned about doing it wrongly—unfairly, and hypocritical.

Matthew 7:1-5 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. NKJV

Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate.” This requires judgment. Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets.” This requires judgment. Matthew 7:20 “…by their fruits you shall know them.” This requires judgment. Jesus did require that we be fruit inspectors, who must do some inspecting and judging.

 Jesus did not forbid judging, but cautioned about doing it wrongly—unfairly, and hypocritical.  Life is a continuing series of judgments. Matthew 7:20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. NKJV John 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” NKJV

 Our own law.

Romans 2:1-3 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. 2 But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. 3 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? NKJV

 Our own law.  Being judges of evil thoughts.

James 2:1-4 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. 2 For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, 3 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” 4 have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
