Storm Shadow

Long-Range Standoff Missile Tornado GR4

Storm Shadow Storm Shadow is a long-range, stand-off, air-launched missile and is arguably the most advanced weapon of its kind in the world. The missile is equipped with a powerful conventional warhead and is designed to attack heavily defended and hardened targets, such as buried and protected command centres, without risking the attacking aircraft. Mission and target data are loaded into the weapon’s main computer before the aircraft leaves on its mission. After release, the wings deploy and the weapon navigates its way to the target at low level using terrain profile matching and an integrated Global Positioning System.

Storm Shadow Dimensions: Length: 5.1m Wing span: 3m Weight: 2,711lbs (1,230kgs) Performance: Speed: Mach 0.8 Range: >150nmls
