STRIKE FORCE INITIATIVES  INITIAL MAPPING  ECONOMIST  BARRIERS TO DATA SHARING

MAPPING  Define Phase II scope for initial high level, operational process mapping across agencies, preliminary isolation/identification of high payoff processes to be targeted for improvements and development of recommendations for best practices to address those targets.

ECONOMIST  Create a reliable economic statistical analysis model to measure the extent of waste, fraud and abuse in the Florida Medicaid delivery system.  Apply the economic statistical analysis model to the current Medicaid delivery system to establish a best estimate of the current waste, fraud and abuse in the Medicaid delivery system.  Present findings to the Medicaid and Public Assistance Fraud Strike Force.

BARRIERS TO DATA SHARING  CREATE A RELIABLE CHART OF ACCOUNTS FOR DATA AND IDENTIFY THE IMPEDIMENTS TO DATA SHARING ACROSS THE ENTITIES.

STRIKE FORCE COMMITTEES  TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE  GRANTS COMMITTEE  LEGISLATIVE AND POLICY COMMITTEE  EXECUTIVE STEERING COMMITTEE

TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE  Guide the Strike Force’s review of proposed technology solutions.  Interact with the Interagency Technology working group to guide policy with regard to the implementation of technology solutions throughout the Medicaid delivery system and other Public Assistance programs.

GRANTS COMMITTEE  Structure and identify appropriate grant programs.  Make recommendations to the Strike Force for grant awards.

LEGISLATIVE & POLICY COMMITTEE  Work to develop legislation for the 2012 Legislative Session to implement the Strike Force’s strategic plan.  Review initiatives from other states with regard to Medicaid and Public Assistance Fraud.  Make proposals to the Strike Force regarding innovative policy initiatives.

EXECUTIVE STEERING COMMITTEE  CFO JEFF ATWATER TO CHAIR.  RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSIGHT OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF STRATEGIC PLAN.  ASSIGNS COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES.
