Technical specifications of LBG 3.3 glassware BOROSILICATE GLASS 3.3 glassware Technical specifications of LBG 3.3 glassware LBG 3.3 is a borosilicate glass with a minimum content in silica of 80% and a low expansion coefficient (3.3•10-6 K-1) included in the 3.3 borosilicate group, as defined in ISO 3585 standard. It is used in products where chemical and mechanical resistance is to be combined with resistance to sudden temperature changes. This particular combination of properties makes this type of glass the most used in labware. LIQUID HANDLING our products Premium Line ULTRA LOW RETENTION tips: the best accuracy for critical molecular biology routine The sample retention within the tip is a important aspect of handling issues. Usually technicians were applying silicon inside tips but this may give contamination problems. labbox Premium Line ULR tips are manufactured with a new polymer (Novelle-Polypropylene) producing a slippery wall where no sample is retained . This polymer give a better performance once autoclaved. This method reduce 85% the sample retention and lower in more than 75% the standard volume deviation. They are specially recommended for molecular biology application, specially in DNA analysis, quantitative PCR and protein handling. Available with filter and without filter.

THERMOREGULATION, COMBUSTION and CALCINATION our products Porcelain crucibles: up to 1150 ºC Quartz crucibles: up to 1100 ºC Alumina crucibles: up to 1750 ºC Platinum crucibles: up to 1700 ºC

THERMOREGULATION, COMBUSTION and CALCINATION our products Technical specifications of porcelain Thermal Shock Resistance: Average coefficient of expansion from 20 ºC to 200 ºC is 3.56 x 10-5 , gradually increasing to 4.69 x 10-5 at 1000 ºC. To prevent thermal stress cracks on porcelain ware, labbox strongly recommends a heating/cooling rate not to exceed 200 ºC/hour. Resistance to Chemical Action: The resistance to acids and alkalis is excellent, except for hydrofluoric acid. Prolonging labware life: Follow gradual heating and cooling rates. Use an oven or hot plate as an intermediate step when quicker heating/cooling rates are required. Gradually increase flame intensity when using a gas burner. Avoid contact of heated ware with a cold surface. Carefully inspect your labware prior to each use Do not use any product that appears defective.

THERMOREGULATION, COMBUSTION and CALCINATION our products Technical specifications of alumina Made of pure aluminum oxyde (AL2O3 at 99.6%) Used in metallurgy and other fields where high temperatures combined with high chemical resistance are required. It can be used in reducing or oxidizing atmospheres. Inert in hydrogen or carbonic atmospheres. Suitable for melting glass, borosilicate glass included. Recommended to with refractory metals such as molybdenum, platinum, tungsten, tantalum, rhodium and iridium. To avoid cracks due to thermal stress on alumina, labbox recommended the speed of warming / cooling does not exceed 150 ° C / hour.
