Children released from federal custody with post release services (this group has recently expanded) 2. Children released from federal custody WITHOUT post release services 3. Children who cross the border and are never caught by federal authorities

Red flags that prompt post release services: Trauma in their history Potential trafficking Threats

What post release services entail: Assess the child and sponsor and the needs Timeframe is 6 month window (but if had home study before release, then the case can stay open until 18) Parenting support (likely have not seen the child in many years) Connect with community resources
