LCVP 2013/2014 Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme “An Enhanced Leaving Certificate”

LCVP - What is it? The LCVP is referred to as an enhanced Leaving Certificate in that it builds on and expands the traditional Leaving Cert. Many believe that the traditional LC is too academic, that means, to much emphasis is placed on the subjects and points and little, if any emphasis is placed on preparing the student for their adult and working life.

LCVP - What is it? The LCVP provides a balance between the traditional LC and the development of skills and qualities that will be needed in the lives of students on leaving school for further education or work.
