 Provide an awareness regarding NCAA qualification  Ensure student-athletes understand the importance of the ACT and Core Courses  Make students aware of the importance of class rank, ACT score, and GPA

 The NCAA, or National Collegiate Athletic Association, was established in 1906 and serves as the collegiate governing body for over 1,300 colleges and universities

 335 active Division I members  288 active Division II members  432 active Division III members

 D I & D II may offer athletic scholarships  D III may not offer athletic scholarships but are very flexible with academic scholarships, grants, awards, and work study programs

 Practice or compete first year  Scholarship first year  Play four years if eligibility is maintained

 Practice or compete during first year  Receive athletics scholarship and  May be only able to play 3 seasons if eligibility is maintained

 Practice or compete during first year  Receive athletics scholarship  May be able to play 4 seasons if eligibility is maintained  D III does not use the Eligibility Center

 Graduate from high school  Complete 16 core courses  Minimum GPA in core courses  Test Score Sliding Scale

Academic Course in:  English  Math  Natural/Physical Science  Social Science  Foreign Language  Be a four-year college prep  At or above regular academic level  Be completed no later than the high school graduation date of your class SPS Submits Core Courses for all 3 high schools to the NCAA

 The sum of the subscores are used by the NCAA for eligibility  The BEST subscores from multiple tests are used to determine eligibility  HUGE advantages when taking the ACT more than once!

 Be sure to use code 9999 when completing the ACT form. This ensures the ACT will be sent to the NCAA directly from the testing center
