The Book of EXODUS One of the Old Testament Books … But where is it in the bible ?

The Book of EXODUS The book of Exodus is a Greek word which means “the way out”. It was written by Moses the prophet, guided by the Holy Spirit of God. The book of Exodus has 40 Chapters.

The Book of EXODUS So it is the 2nd book of the: “Books of The Law”.  Genesis  Exodus  Leviticus  Numbers  Deuteronomy

The Book of EXODUS Moses  An Israelite boy who grew up as an Egyptian Prince.  He killed an Egyptian and ran away from Pharaoh to Midian.

The Book of EXODUS God spoke to Moses from a burning bush. He asked Moses to return to Egypt to lead the Israelites out of their slavery.

The Book of EXODUS Moses asked Pharaoh to let the people go but he refused. God sent many plagues upon Egypt but still Pharaoh refused.

The Book of EXODUS The last plague was taking the lives of all the first born in Egypt, but the Israelites were spared. Finally, Pharaoh agreed to let them go.

God led His people out of Egypt by parting the Red Sea and led them through the Sinai Desert.

The Book of EXODUS In the desert God provided them with food  (The Manna) and  water from a rock.

The Book of EXODUS God gave Moses the “Ten Commandments” and the people promised to obey God.

The Book of EXODUS God described to Moses how to build a Tabernacle. This was a tent that was a holy place for worshipping God.

The Book of EXODUS The people sinned by worshipping an idol made of gold. In anger, Moses broke the tablets of the Law. Moses asked God to forgive the people for their sins.

The Book of EXODUS God promised to go with Moses and the people as they travelled. Moses wrote God’s commandments on 2 stone tablets.

The Book of EXODUS The Tabernacle was set up. A cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night was above the Tabernacle, This showed that God was pleased with the Tabernacle.
