Matthew 25: 1-13 The Parable of the Ten Virgins 1“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

My Deliverer

Joseph took his wife and her child, And they went to Africa To escape the rage of a deadly king.

There along the banks of the Nile, Jesus listened to the song That the captive children used to sing.

They were singing: “My Deliverer is coming, My Deliverer is standing by. My Deliverer is coming, My Deliverer is standing by.”

Through a dry and thirsty land, Water from the Kenyon heights Pours itself out of Lake Sangra’s broken heart.

There in the Sahara winds, Jesus heard the whole world cry From the healing that would flow from His own scars.

The world was singing: “My Deliverer is coming, My Deliverer is standing by. My Deliverer is coming, My Deliverer is standing by.”

He will never break His promise He has written it up in the sky.

I will never doubt His promise, Though I doubt my heart, I doubt my eyes.
