MOUNT VERNON MUNICIPAL COURT Court fines and costs are due today! Payment methods include: cash check money order credit card If you cannot pay them in full, you will be ordered to stay in the Courtroom to set up a fine payment schedule.

MOUNT VERNON MUNICIPAL COURT The Judge ordered you to pay $ per month on your fines and costs. You may comply with the Judge’s order in one of three ways: Pay $ per month (cash, check, money order or credit card). Work twelve hours of community service each month and receive credit at $9.00 per hour. Combine monthly payments and monthly community service.

MOUNT VERNON MUNICIPAL COURT Today you will be given a payment plan, a payment date, a court date and information about community service. After you have paid $100.00, or worked twelve (12) hours of community service, or a combination of both, the Court will set your next payment date 30 days from your original payment date. IF YOU FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE JUDGE’S ORDER YOU MUST APPEAR BEFORE HIM ONCE A MONTH TO EXPLAIN WHY YOU ARE NOT COMPLYING.

MOUNT VERNON MUNICIPAL COURT Example: If your first payment is due on December 15 th and you make your payment, your next payment is due on January 15 th, and again on the 15 th of each month after that until you are paid in full. But if you fail to make your $ payment, or fail to work community service hours, or fail to do a combination of the both, then you MUST APPEAR BEFORE THE JUDGE on the 2 nd or 4 th Wednesday of the month at 11:00 a.m., depending on the date your payment is due.

MOUNT VERNON MUNICIPAL COURT Each month you will be given a new payment due date and a new court date to appear before the Judge, if you fail to comply with your payment plan. Community service WILL NOT be credited toward fines and costs that have been turned over to Capital Recovery. Community service forms are to be turned in to Heather in the Probation Department. Thank You, Judge John C. Thatcher
