MAIN MENU WINDOW Select a menu command to see it’s description and further menu options.

FILE MENU The File menu item is used to access the usual Windows file handling routines such as New, Open, Save, Print and Exit functions.

VIEW MENU The View menu item allows the appearance of the iDAS window to be changed.

CONTROL MENU The Control menu is used to Enable and Disable iDAS - i.e. start and stop iDAS monitoring the input channels. Initialise will Initialise the input channels Reconfigure allows devices to be reconfigured whilst the system is enabled. ReseT sets all the digital counter channels to zero DDE allows the Digital Data Exchange system to be started

MONITORS MENU The Monitor menu allows the channel monitor, alarm monitor and configurable monitor to be set up and run. Channel Monitor provides windows that continuously monitor inputs to the System Channels Alarm Monitor provides windows to monitor and control channel and system alarms Configurable Monitor allows the user to set up graphical front-end screens that can display and control iDAS data loggers, monitors and displays.

REPLAYS MENU Alarm Notepad is used to view the alarm logs created by iDAS. Log File Synchronisation can be used to synchronize and merge two log files containing data from different channels. Data Export allows logged data to be exported to spreadsheet applications such as Excel. Trends is used to graphically display logged data in real-time.

DEVICES MENU The Devices menu is used to configure the data acquisition modules being used by iDAS. Two versions of iDAS are currently available – to suit Tempatron Sigma modules and Solartron IMPs.

PROCESSORS MENU The Processor menu is used to set up user, history, data exchange, calculated and system error channels as well as the channel alarm system. See the full system demo for more details of each channel type.

LOGGERS MENU The Loggers menu is used to control iDAS loggers. Control Loggers gives access to all the available loggers. Logger_1 allows logger 1 to be configured, enabled and disabled. Each individual logger can be set up to log any combination of input channels at independent logging rates.

MAIN MENU WINDOW Online help is available at all times. Click on the Help menu or press F1.
