Matrix Math Scalar Multiplications 1)Go to Home Screen 2)To “call” a matrix press “alpha” and type in letter of matrix you wish to call. 3)Press enter to display matrix 4)To multiply matrix by a scalar type in you scale (i.e. 2 or 3/7) and repeat step 1) 5)Press enter to display results

Matrix Math Finding the transverse and determinate of a Matrix 1)Go to the Home Screen 2)For Transverse: a)To find the transverse (flips the matrix along its diagonal) of a matrix, press “alpha” and select variable that represent the matrix you wish to find the transverse of b)Press “Catalog,” than press “t” c)The first option that comes up should be a “ T ”. This is the transverse operator d)Press enter to view the transverse of the Matrix 3)For Determinates: a)Press “Catalog,” than press “d” b)Scroll down till you see “det(“ and press enter. This is the determinate operator c)Press “alpha” and select variable that represent the matrix you wish to find the determinate of d)Close the parenthesis by pressing “)” e)Press enter to view the determinate of the Matrix

Matrix Math Solving a system of N-equations with N-unknowns (a.k.a Matrix Division) 1)Go to the Home Screen 2)For example our “a” matrix will be a 3X3 while “b” is a 3X1 matrix 3)Where “a” are to coefficients of your unknowns {x, y, z} and “b” are the constants in the equation. See below: 4)To solve this you would usually divide “b” by “a” but this cannot be done with matrices. 5)Use the following format to solve this system: a^-1*b. This will yield a 3X1 matrix whose values are your unknowns.
