With a 2/3 majority, Govt can increase Sarawak seats to 50 and reduce Selangor seats to 10. Federal Constitution Article 46 sets the Composition of the MP’s at 222 nos. Amendment to the Composition requires 2/3 majority in Parliament. Must wait 8 years but no maximum period, after last redelineation exercise (Mar 2003). 30 Do you understand the dangers of giving a Ruling Party too much power? They should be replaced by members of civil society so that we have a better chance to ensure Elections are Free and Fair !
