5-10: Two Humbling Truths: David’s Despair Psalm 39 5-10: Two Humbling Truths: 5-6: Recognizing the brevity of life and our fragile human condition makes us long for deliverance from God. Life is empty without God’s favor. Life is the length of four fingers put together. So much effort for money you can’t keep.
