Classroom Example  Introduction to Human Studies Standard 6  Power of One A Better You, Family Ties, Take the Lead, Working on Working  FCCLA Planning Process FCCLA Planning Process Identify concerns – Research management skills needed in order to be productive members of society. Set a goal – Increase time management skills in order to meet deadlines. Form a plan – Who, what, where, when, and how Act – The students will measure the frequency in which the family is late to an obligation. – The family will start using the calendar application in their phones or a personal itinerary in order to prioritize obligations. Follow up – Students measure success/failure of the family by documenting the frequency in which the family is late to an obligation after implementation of the itinerary and calculating the difference between pre- and post-itinerary usage. Locate national program(s) of interest. 2 Examine the course standards to determine which FCCLA national program can be utilized to reinforce learning. Implement the FCCLA Planning Process when creating a project/activity. 3 Assess using the national program’s application and the Literacy in Technical Subjects Informational and Explanatory Rubric.
