 Today we will learn the basics of “Writing to Inform”

 You go to the doctor  My throat feels scratchy and my head hurts DESCRIBING (Subjective, Opinion)  You have a cold INFORMING (Objective,Factual)  Colds are caused by viruses. This is how people feel when they have a cold EXPLAINING (Factual, Detailed)

 Writing to Inform refers to explaining or informing the reader about facts  It answers basic questions such as ___, ___,___,____,____,_____,____
