Parts of I.C engine Cylinder Piston Connecting rod Crank and crank shaft Valves Flywheel Crank case

Crankshaft Crank is the lever that is connected to the end of the connecting rod by a pin joint with other end connected rigidly to a shaft, called crankshaft.

Valves Devices which control the flow of intake and exhaust gases to and from the engine cylinder. Flywheel Heavy wheel mounted on crankshaft to maintain uniform rotation of the crankshaft.

Crankcase Lower part of the engine serves as enclosure for crankshaft and sump for lubricating oil.
