1)Read the story, then draw a map of the race course as described (use pictures and images that are relevant to the story to help make it interesting). 2)At different parts of the story (outlined below), create a new slide. For each slide: a) Give correct answers to the asked questions IN COMPLETE SENTENCES. b) write out one Latin sentence and translate it into good English. c) use images to enhance the slides Lines 1-2 Description of the race course (this will help you draw your map) Lines 2-4 Position of the two ships just after the start of the race Lines 5-15 Dumnorix and Belimicus: Who are they & what are they and their teams doing? Lines Uh oh! What disaster occurs here? Lines Who wins? Who looses? Lines What are the spectators watching at the end of this story?

Grade will be based on : Correctness of Map : 20 % Creativity of Slides (images, layout, etc..): 15% Correct Answers to asked questions: 20 % Use of appropriately difficult sentences to translate: 25 % Correct translations of chosen sentences: 20% 1 map + 6 story sections 7 slides !!

Suggested order of assignment 1)read the story through one time, using notes, to see how much of the story you understand the first time through. Jot down an outline or some little notes to help you 2)re-read through the story one more time, this time looking for the answers to the questions. 3)once you are comfortable that you know the flow of the story, make your map and find some images that will enhance it 4) Make the other 6 slides, write out the answers to those questions, choose and translate your Latin sentences, and find images to enhance those slides
