Edward O. Wilson By: Sarai Diaz-Farfan Class: APES T: Mrs. Kendig

Occupations? He is Naturalist, theorists, researcher and biologist. He was myrmecology,which means the study of Ants.

Founder of Sociobiology The altruistic behavior of species specially insects. He discovered that ants communicate primarily through something called pheromones. He also believed that 10 percent of human behavior is induced while the rest is given to the environment.

He also had a theory that even Altruism can evolve through Natural Selection Natural selection- The adaption of certain species to an environment. After years of research he came out with the idea that high social organism are to be counted together as a superorganism rather than independently.

Some of his research was based on some Charles Darwins ideas. Later on Wilson turned his research into religious and philosophy topics.
