Traffic Calming Program Goals Traffic Calming Manual approved by City Commission on June 25, 2002 Reduce speed on residential streets Cut-through traffic routed back to collector and arterial roadways Preserve emergency vehicle access Increase safety for pedestrians

TRAFFIC CALMING PROCESS Resident requests traffic calming Speed / Volume Study conducted Results “scored” using matrix, must score a 2.5 to qualify for traffic calming Traffic Calming Plan is developed to specifically address the street Adjacent property owners must approve the plan by 2/3 majority vote Evaluation/Follow-up to measure impact
