The Group The Pussycat Dolls was an american group of pop and R & B, formed by choreographer Robin Antin. The group began as a burlesque troupe in 1995, in Los Angeles, California.

After attracting national attention, Antin negotiated a deal with Interscope Records and the troupe was re- created as a musical group in 2003.

The group is currently separated because the singers decided to dedicate themselves to a solo career. At the beginning, the group was composed by the vocalist Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt and Carmit Bachar.

The song When I Grow Up is the first single of the group on their second album Doll Domination. It was officially released on May 20, 2008.

The video clip won an award for Best Dance at MTV VMA (Video Music Awards) in 2008, competing with Forever(Chris Brown), Closer (Ne-Yo), Damaged (Danity Kane) and 4 Minutes (Madonna).
