Office of Information, Technology and Accountability 7 Created 11/06/2006 Revised You will demonstrate this by... Creating 4 by 3 table  3 subjects  3 periods Assign teachers to each section

Office of Information, Technology and Accountability 8 Created 11/06/2006 Revised Why use a Table? A Word table is an object you can add to your document to help organize text and other content on a page. Tables help organize the elements on a page for complex documents like presentations and reports.

Office of Information, Technology and Accountability 9 Created 11/06/2006 Revised Tables- Insert: From the drop down menu select Table  Insert Table Columns 4 Rows 3 Click Ok

Office of Information, Technology and Accountability 12 Created 11/06/2006 Revised Tables- Clip Art: You can insert a graphic into a table cell by clicking on the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click From Clip Art.

Office of Information, Technology and Accountability 13 Created 11/06/2006 Revised Tables- Copy and Paste: Copy and Paste- First, you select the table (or part of the table) that you want to copy or move. Then, on the Edit menu, you click Copy (to copy) or Cut (to move), and then Paste, just as you would for document text (or press CTRL+C, CTRL+X, and CTRL+V, respectively). Caution- When resting the pointer over a table, you may see the Table Move Handle at the upper-left corner of the table. When you click and drag this icon to move a table, it enables text to wrap around your table and turns your table into a floating graphic object — which can make the table and the document more complex to manage.

Office of Information, Technology and Accountability 14 Created 11/06/2006 Revised Tables- Add/ Delete Rows or Columns: Adding Rows or Columns: To add a new row or column, click the area where you want them to appear, then on the Table menu, point to Insert, and then click one of the following, Rows Above or Rows Below, or Columns to the Right or Columns to the Left. Deleting Rows or Columns: Select the rows or columns to delete, and then, on the Table menu, point to Delete, and then click Rows or Columns. Note: To add multiple rows or columns, select the same number of rows or columns in your existing table then select insert. Caution Avoid deleting individual cells.
