LETS HAVE A GO!!!!! Marketing The role of marketing in the firm and society: Marketing has a central strategic function within a business. It aims to find the most suitable markets and then make sure the resources of the business are directed towards ensuring that customers in those markets buy the product. Types of markets- Resource: The resource market involves the provision of a wide range of raw material products from primary industry. Industrial: Industrial markets provide partly processed raw materials and assembled items. Intermediate: The intermediate market involves the stage along the distribution chain from producer to consumer. After making a product, a producer may sell it directly to the customer, but more often than not will sell it through a retailer.
