Greater Than, Less Than Home Hands on Game This is a 2 player card game. The face cards are taken out of the deck. The cards are divided evenly between the two players. The players put their cards face down and flip over one card at a time. The greater number wins and takes the other players card and adds it to their pile. The game proceeds until one player has all the cards. If the same number is flipped, the players flip over and compare their next card. This game is similar to the card game, “War.” Greater Than, Less Than Home Next

Hands on Game Expanded Form Next Home Standard Form Expanded Form You need two cups and two different colored pens. Position the opening of the cups in your left hand so you read the numbers from left to right. Next, take the first cup and write the numbers 0 - 9 along the rim of the cup (see picture A). After you finish, grab your second cup and different colored pen. Write 10 in the inside of the cup. Number the rim like the first cup 0-9 this time after each number you will place a 0 on the part of the cup below the rim and the + sign after it. (see picture B) Place this cup inside the ones cup. Now you can make different numbers and show the expanded form for that number. With a buddy, have one person say a number 1-99. whole the other buddy makes the number using the cups.
